Barbara Bush turned 90 on June 8, 2015, and to celebrate her birthday, we toasted the joy of reading and the 25th anniversary of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. Mrs. Bush shared her hopes and dreams for the next 25 years of literacy.
Smash went north to the quaint town of Kennebunkport, Maine. Where we just feel in love with the great stores, galleries, restaurants & not to mention all the celebration that was everywhere you looked for Mrs. Bush
The event was tented on the grounds of St. Ann's Episcopal Church
The whole Bush Clan was there to celebrate along
with special musical guests:
Amy Grant
Reba McEntire
Michael W. Smith
and lets not forget Smash Entertainment! We created custom bronze living statues of famous authors Shakespeare, Jane Austen & Virgina Woolf holding a bronzed version of the heart page book of the Bush Foundation website.
Guests would enter through a long tented corridor with our statues greeting them. At the end there was an opening where a group of fairies and Puck would be twirling about, giving you the feeling that your in for a very special evening. Inside the main tent huge living floral arrangements with dancing flowers inside moves to the music of the featured guests.
We will be adding photos to out blog when they are available! Come back soon!!
